The Beautifully Damned theme Park
Fantasy World
It took me almost a year and a half to write at least one of my adventures for 2017 and FINALLY (Cannot stress this enough) here it is!! I can’t believe it took me that long to get back into writing.
I don’t know what happened along the way but I lost interest in blogging. Writing isn’t the same if “feelings” aren’t involved. #Hugot 😂 Anyway lets get down to business.
Fantasy World welcomes you back in time where medieval castles, kings, queens, prince, princess and dragons exist. Seemingly coming out straight from a storybook this fantasy was cut short due to the owner (a Japanese businessman) who had financial problems. Hence the park is now abandoned.
Built in 2001, rumor has it that this was supposed to be “The Disneyland of the Philippines”.
Situated on top of a hill, the place offers a great view of Taal Lake and Batangas. The theme park was envisioned to be a world-class family entertainment facility, amusement, and recreation club park.
As you walk around the empty buildings, rooms, hallways and garden, you can’t help but feel that eerie feeling of desertion and abandonment. Yet even at its present state, the park is mysteriously beautiful.
You know what they say… “Not all things abandon wither away, sometimes they rise out from darkness and bloom into the world.” Made this quote up. 😂
There really isn’t much to do here except take thousands of photos till your hearts content, but there are costumes and props for rent inside, so you can professionally feel like a legit person in the medieval era. I think it was about 300.00PHP to rent them.
Entrance to Fantasy World is at 1,000.00PHP for up to 10 guests whether you reach that maximum or not. For prenuptial pictorials and photo shoots requiring professional cameras and equipment, they charge 5,000.00PHP.
It isn’t such a bad idea though. I mean the place is unique, despite the size and with creative photographers this would truly mesmerize the people looking at the pictures and videos produced.
I actually saw a couple doing their prenup and it looked really romantic.♥
All I can say is the park is pretty much doing ok. Ever since it got a spotlight on social media, It has attracted a lot of tourist and locals to visit it. The entrance fee you pay actual goes to maintaining the park.
Park is located at Diokno Highway in Brgy. Mayasang, Lemery, Batangas. Waze can actually show you the way. It took around 4hours in total to get to fantasy world from manila.
I would also want to thank my friends (you guys know who you are ) for making this trip a dream come true. This was just a spontaneous decision that we all decided, since we wanted to get out of the city for a change.
I won’t be revealing much photos so that when you visit, the element of surprise is still there. So much rooms to explore and plenty of “instagramable” photos to be taken. My 1,000.00PHP was very much well spent. 😂
