The serene and quiet village of Tan-awan, Oslob is blessed to have the sea giants visit their side of the ocean and to play around in its welcoming waters.

My friends and I took a 3 hour bus ride from Cebu city to Oslob and as soon as we arrived, we wasted no time to register in the Whale Shark activity. The moment the bus drops you at the drop off, you can see many beach resorts lined up that has signs saying, “Whale Shark Watching”.

The perks of hiring a resort to assist you is that you will be hassle free and most likely you will be one of the many tourist who wont have to wait for hours for your turn.ย  The activity strictly starts from 6am to 12pm ONLY.

The fee for the activity is 300php for those who just wants to watch the whales in the boat and 500php (equipment’s included) for those who wants to go snorkeling with the Whale Sharks.

Also bare in mind you only get 30 minutes to swim around with them and take photos. So make every minute count!

You can also ask the boat men to take photos and videos for you. They are so used in doing this for the tourist that you cant help but admire their dedication in making sure you get tons of shots underwater.

You don’t even need to teach them what to do or how to use the cameras.ย ๐Ÿ˜‚
