From fashion prints to themed cafes, Alice in Wonderland is very popular in Japan.
For a magical dinning experience, Japan has many Alice in Wonderland cafes, which are themed differently and gives you variation in interior and menu, making them all worthy to try out (the challenging part is where you would want to experience this for the first time).
I think there are more than five Alice themed cafes in Tokyo and what my friends and I chose is the “Alice in Fantasy Book” because it was the nearest one we could find on our Google map. 😄
This was actually a spontaneous thing and when we got to the restaurant we had to wait for an hour because we made no reservations and they were really full.
We had a lot of fun experiencing what it was like to dine in Wonderland. The decorations were quite something! It does not fail you to feel that you are actually in Wonderland.
The thing about themed cafes and restaurants is that you’ve got a time limit of staying (1-2 hours only) and you have to order 1 food and 1 drink each.
Address: Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 1-6-2 T-wing building B2F (You can find this restaurant inside a mall).
Monday – Thursday: 17:00 – 2:00
Friday & Saturday 17:00 – 4:00
Sunday & Holiday 17:00 – 23:30
Advice for those who are dinning here for photography reasons. Almost all the lightnings of the Alice in Wonderland café’s I’ve tried are dark, making it challenging to take photos of the food and surroundings. However if you are a professional; photographer then I’m sure this wouldn’t be a problem for you. 😃
